Approximately 144 volumes, most of them about 280x210 mm; 11x8½ inches, with some duplication but many dozens of different titles. Los Angeles, CA, circa 1972-1991.
105 quarto paperbacks (magazine-sized) plus 4 octavo paperback reprints of Townsend's seminal "Leatherman's Handbook" and "Leatherman's Handbook II."
35 serial anthologies edited by Townsend and his successors, in 3 binders, including "A Treasury of S&M," "Leatherman's Workbook," "Anthology of S&M," and "Potporri of S&M."
Provenance: The collection of Charles "Chuck" Renslow (1929-2017), co-owner of Chicago's Gold Coast bar; publisher of the magazines Triumph, Rawhide, and Mars; and founder of the long-running International Mr. Leather contest and the Leather Archives and Museum. He is a member of the Chicago LGBT Hall of Fame and the Leather Hall of Fame.
